Things Figured Out

Finally we got Ty's schooling figured out!!!...For now. :)
He met with the BYU animation Dept. last week. He
took some of his art work, it ranged from things he did
in high school to things he's working on now. He met with
Kellie Looslie. Ty described his as a little intimidating, taller
than he is and a shiny head. (He shaves it) Ty was looking
for guidance and an honest opinion. He got it! He praised
Ty's talent. He told him he DEFIANTLY has what it takes.
He was very impressed with Ty's Christ, Joseph & Hyrum
picture. :) He gave Ty a lot of pointers and suggestions.
Kellie Looslie also advises at UVU in Orem. He suggested
to Ty that he apply there and take a semester or two of
art classes there to build his portfolio and that. He told him
he has great 3d-illustration. His shading on the Christ picture
is very good. Which is what Ty needed to hear! I am so
happy that Ty was able to meet with him so he can put a face
to his name and watch his progress! Since last Tuesday we
applied for UVU, and by Thursday he was accepted! So were
just working on sending his transcripts and all the finical aid stuff.
It's amazing how things work! Were grateful for the hand of the Lord
in our lives! UVU was not on our list AT ALL.
So our plan for now is to stay living in Riverton, for now in Mom's apt.
and Ty will get a bus pass and were going to try to get his classes
all on the same days so he hopefully only has to ride down 3 days a week.
(*Fingers Crossed*)
It's fun seeing Ty all excited about his art. He's loved drawing his whole
life, and hasn't had much time the last 4 or so years. But now he gets to
focus on it daily! He's got amazing talent and I love seeing his drawings.
He's going to do amazing!

Winter Sun 10k!!

We did it! Feels so great to have finished it! We started out, got up got breakfast, got stretched/dressed. Headed out to catch the shuttle to the starting line! We got up there, in the 2nd bus load, they had lil fires going to keep warm. At first it wasn't bad, then it started getting a little chilly. They had music playing and spirits were high, everyone bouncing around and laughing. However, soon enough they called out to get lined up! Being the first race any of the 4 of us had ran made all the better. :) They had it posted to start according to your speed. The highest sign went 9! LOL. So the group we started with was rather large! We all knew that we would be a little slower than 9. But the people all gathered and you were shoulder to shoulder and they ran the cow bell and we all started! It seemed EVERYONE started out running/jogging fast. I thought you start out slower.... but I got going and with the rush and excitement kept going! I was ahead of the rest! (Vern, April, Ty) I kept at it. Felt great and just followed the crowed. I finished the first mile in 11min 20ish seconds. I was so thrilled to do that...but then it hit. The first hillish part came. It wore me out! Lets just say I learned my lesson! lol. I still kept at it, but certainly not that fast. April passed me somewhere in mile 2 and I was just doing my thing. I have to say I walked more in mile 2 and 3 than I probably should have. I had a group I was sticking with, it was like playing leap frog! I would push hard for a bit then slow down and they would speed up. lol Saw one older lady in mile 2 go over and barf... she said she was ok so we kept going. I was just doing my thing, I kept kinda looking over my shoulder for Ty and Vern. Their plan was to walk it. As Vern has shoulder problems and Ty's back. (2 herniated discs in the last couple months.) But almost to mile 4 I was doing my thing and I heard someone coming up fast behind me kinda panting...I look over my shoulder and its Ty!!! :) Made me so happy! At first I was kinda freaking out because I thought it was he and Vern and if they caught up to me that easily I KNEW I wasn't pushing myself! I guess he saw me in mile 2 and decided to catch up to me. SO he started running!! He said every time he almost got close I started running full pace again. lol So we got to the refreshing station & got water and Gatorade! AND tissue! I was about to have to pull the farmer blow. My nose was SO stuffy! We stopped for probably 3 min cause someone was in the port-a-potty! But we got back on the road! It was nice to have someone I knew right there and he pushed me harder than I was pushing myself. So I have him to thank for helping me! He knew my goal was under 1hr 30min and he helped me beat that goal! It was amazing! So many people so happy and cheering you on! Complete strangers cheering for you! As we ran through a neighborhood there were people out on their porches, sitting on rocks and just standing there cheering for you and smiling! Then we ran part of it on a walking/running trail in a park and there were people playing music on the outdoor drums/chimes. It was cool! I am so proud of the 4 of us! I really have to thank my friend Miranda who put the idea in my head! I NEVER would have just done this on my own! Ty really supported me and then April for making sure I wouldn't back out! :) At the finish line I was right between 2 older ladies, I was determined to pass before them! lol. I did it! I was a few seconds before one and a few min, before the other. One of the ladies had a group cheering her on and I guess she turned 80 today. She did a 10k (6.2 miles) on her 80th birthday! At the finish line they had food/drinks & everyone gathering tell each other congrats. Complete strangers telling you "You made it! You did it!" it was awesome. The race was well organized and fun! Great atmosphere! April ran in at 1hr 10min, Ty at 1hr 18min, me at 1hr 19 min and Vern at 1hr 22min. It was awesome! We all beat our "projected" time and goals! I would like to run one again, maybe in the spring time, warmer weather and... more training. Tonight were feeling like 80 yr old's who cant run 1 mile! lol Muscles, joints and all. BUT we finished and we KNOW we can do it now! Thanks everyone for your encouraging words!!

WE FINISHED!!!

The politics of colleges!

So we met with BYU yesterday, the counselor that has been helping Ty is really awesome.
She's very helpful and you never leave her office feeling like you've got no where to go!
We were pretty sure that Ty didnt get in because of his GPA. WHICH, was true. BUT she
said that they are really starting to see the results of accepting people based off their GPA.
They have made it so hard for people with talent and potential to get in. Which we have known
is true for a year now! BUT come Spring they are changing it all! They are going to be going
based of more than just the GPA, in fact that wont be the main thing anymore! They will be
going off of their essay and accomplishments! So with that being said , its on our side.
Ty's got a great GPA. She always compliments him on it. So she helped us devise a plan.
OPTION #1
We are setting up an appointment with the Arts Dept. (trying to get an Apt. with an Animation Professor) and have them meet Ty and go over his art work and ask for an honest evaluation.
If they think Ty would be a great asset to their program and if he's the kind of student they want.
Then ask them to "endorse" Ty in a sense. If they think Ty's got what it takes then they can email their comments to Ty's counselor and she sits on the board that accepts transfer students.
So she said that can and will go a far ways. If we can get that here soon, then Ty can most likely get in for January still!

Option #2
BYU offers Evening classes. These have different admission requirements. The big ones she mentioned were that you must be over 23 [X] and that you can't have ever been x-communicated from the church [X]. So we got those covered. And they still had openings in drawing classes and "pre-animation" classes! You cant take more than 6 credit with evening classes, but were thinking (still looking into it) that you have to take at least 6 credits to get FAFSA and to not have to pay back your student loans. SO that is really helpful!

So things are looking good, the quote keeps coming to mind "I never said it would be easy, I only said it would be worth it" So whatever happens in the end, it will be worth it if we keep pursuing our dream! Also, once again the fact is "its not what you know, but who you know".
So if anyone knows someone who is in the art/animation dept. with BYU let us know! :)

Ring around the Rosies

So we heard back from BYU. Sadly Ty wasn't accepted for January.....
SO were at square one again... BUT it will all work out. I'm pretty sure of it.
Everything happens for a reason. We meet with the counselor next week to
go over exactly why. So we will see what happens after that. We are thinking
we know why, because Ty's GPA was slightly under what they want. Which is
3.7! So he was almost to 3.6 overall. Which is still amazing! I am so proud of all
Ty's hard work! It's not easy, but he's almost there. We have been looking at
schools around the country, of coarse none seems as "cool" or well rounded as
BYU's animation program, but who knows. Hopefully in the next 2 weeks we will
have more info and direction as to where we'll be!

On a different note... It's fall! I love it! The trees are changing colors and the air
is a little crisp. :) I love it. I love waking up in a warm bed, with slippers to slip on
as I climb out of the covers. Then the warm breakfasts and all. It's joyous! I love
the candles to add the effect of the season. This year pumpkin pie is the winner. So
yummy! We are loving it!

We are still deciding what to be for halloween... it's not easy as adults even! We just
might surprise you! haha. I love looking at costumes, but can't pick one to be! Eek.
Suggestions are welcome, but keep in mind we were pirates LAST YEAR. Seems like
everyone who's commented on facebook says pirates... something new this year!

Slacking! No excuse!

Ok since we've been home from Idaho I have been a SLACKER!
We did get out on Tuesday night and go biking for 2 miles. Which was
awesome. BUT that's the only thing I have done this week! Monday
I took as a rest day, we were heading home from ID. Then last night
I was just NOT in the mood. I couldn't get myself into the mood to do
any sort of exercise. SO we resorted to going on a date. We went and
got a Pizza and drove up the foothills and had our pizza in the car and
watched the sun set while in the peace and quite. We had 6 deer just
come right by the car and mozy on by. It was cool. Then we snuggled
up on the couch for the news and Ty rubbed my feet..... It was heaven!
So I confessed. Week 2 has NOT gone as planned. But I still enjoyed it!
... So tonight after I get off work running is the first thing I will do!
Promise! :)... AND we got word today that Admission Decisions will
be made by the end of this week! SO please please please keep Ty in
your prayers that he'll get in!! Thanks!

Just keep swimming....

I feel like Dora from finding nemo, I keep repeating "just keep running, just keep running"
I need to get into more I guess. I get bored running! I do give myself a pat on the back though,
this weekend we were out of town, and I still went on! Saturday I woke up and went out for 2 miles. Then Sunday I did my "EZ 20-30 min". Then yesterday was a rest day. SO tonight I gotta get my butt to the gym or out on the street. haha. I can do it! I might have to somehow make the mp3 player work. Its just sketchy and doesn't let us create play list anymore so its random music. BUT beggars can't be choosers right? Hope everyone else had a great weekend! I was happy for Columbus Day! I got to enjoy an extra day! Thanks Columbus! :)

3 days down...

So this week has been great so far! My training is coming along!

Monday: Rest day
Tuesday: Ran over 2 miles plus a few arm work outs and a quick ab work out.
Wednesday: Cross Training Day, which I went on a 30 min bike ride.
Tonight I need to go run again!

I am proud of myself. Last night was hard cause its getting darker earlier now...so when i get home just before dark, it isn't motivation to get going on training. BUT I did it and Kenyon came on the bike ride with me. It was fun, reminded me of old times. When we were youngsters. I love my brother, I'm glad that we are still good friends to this day besides siblings. And it helps that he has a cool wife. lol :) I love you too Jeannette!

Ty went to the Dr's yesterday. The Chiropractor to be exact. He's had some bad pains in his leg and down the back and his foot goes tingly and numb at times. So he did a few tests and checked out a few things, seems to be he has a bulging disc in the lower back and that its hitting his sciatic nerve at times. When he bends and that. So Ty decided he wanted to try out what he could do. So he's going 3 times a week to do some shock treatments and also this machine that helps to slowly stretch the spine back to its normal position and help the disc go back into its correct place. Ty loved being able to be correctly adjusted and all. He said he felt really good afterwords. The Dr. said that alot of people get bulging disc cause they need to strengthen their core and also cause bad posture. So I think I will focus on those things too. haha. I'm glad Ty is getting work done to correct it, and that he already feels so good. He isn't suppose to do much lifting and stuff for a while. "light work" as the Dr. put it. He can't bend, twist or lift. haha kinda not much of anything he can do right now. But he's going to get better so that is good!

Life is going great! Were still waiting to hear back from BYU. It's so intense and annoying! lol I just want to know when and where were going in Dec. so we can start planning. Maybe I am just too much of a planning freak. But it drives me crazy not knowing what going to happen in December! But it we will find out as soon as they decide I guess. So I will keep praying for patients. :)

Well were headed to Idaho tomorrow to go visit for the weekend. I'm excited to go relax and visit. AND to keep up with my training schedule... I can do it!! :) Thank you to everyone for your encouragement! I will do this 10 k either running/jogging OR walking!! Maybe some of all! :P

Gotta change my mind set..

So the race is 8 weeks away.... I haven't been running nor even to the gym for 3 weeks now! (I know I know) So I was looking through things again and realized that a 5k is only 3.1 miles! How easy! So I called April all excited that it wasn't as long as I thought and.... well burst my bubble. It's a 10k were running! lol So I had the distance right the first time, just not the name of the race. haha. So now I am all scared. I have been trying to kick this fear and I even made myself a little training sheet to follow. Now is just implementing it and DOING it! It shouldn't been too hard, its just a mental thing right?? Here are a few quotes I found that I like!

"Racing teaches us to challenge ourselves. It teaches us to push beyond where we thought we could go. It helps us to find out what we are made of. This is what we do. This is what it's all about."
-PattiSue Plumer, U.S. Olympian

"The miracle isn't that I finished. The miracle is that I had the courage to start."
-John Bingham, running speaker and writer

"Shoot for the moon. Even if you miss it you will land among the stars."
-Les Brown

"Mental will is a muscle that needs exercise, just like the muscles of the body."
-Lynn Jennings

"He who is not courageous enough to take risks will accomplish nothing in life."
- Muhammad Ali

So now all I need to is to get an mp3 player or something. Mine broke forever ago, but I think the music will help immensely with my focus. I get so distracted while running...

Well hope everyone is doing great! We are, we are all moved and packed/unpacked and just waiting to hear from BYU. Keep Ty in your prayers please! We really are hoping he gets accepted for January! :)

Changes....

So along with the weather ATTEMPTING to change, things around the Cobb residence is too!
Were moving this week! Were setting out for an adventure! Were moving into my moms basement this week, there till end of November. And where too after that is still unknown. We are waiting to hear back if Ty got accepted for January semester still. We should hear mid October. So if he did then we'll head to Provo. If not... the world is ours to decide!

Amidst all the changes, I feel optimistic about them! We will be sharing the basement apartment with Kenyon and Jeannette. So that will be fun and a learning experience! Were use to our own place.... but we did live with Ty's parents for a little while... so it shouldn't be too big of a change!

Were hoping Ty gets in, we've been working on it for a year now. Getting the GPA up to what they want and getting his associates accomplished and what not. So were praying its up- to- par now! Ty has done amazing in school, he just keeps raising his gpa and getting even better grades. He currently sits at a 3.4 ish. BYU has crazy requirements to meet to transfer in. But were optimistic! Everything happens for a reason and one way or another you can get to the finish line!

Were still going to attend our ward in Riverton. As much as I sometimes do not enjoy teaching primary. The kids love Ty and I. One parent tells us every week how much their daughter loves us as teachers and the boys just love Ty and that he can draw cars. lol But our primary program is coming up in November. So were going to hang around till after that. But really and truly, I cant wait to be done with primary. I miss going to relief society. I enjoy it in there, and in primary each week seems like a zoo. 9 yr olds are so... unique. We have the girls who act like they are 16 already and the boys who can't seem to understand what growing up means. The ones who burp and fart and think its cool to tell everyone it was them. Then the ones who announce things like "My mom is twice as old as you" or "My dad says that I can't cross my legs because I am a boy and only girls cross their legs". It makes for good stories and things I hope and pray my kids will never do or say. But I still have a love for them I didn't think I would get.

Well enough of our boring ramblings, we'll keep you posted on BYU and all. Maybe one day we'll get a new camera and I will have some pictures to post! Oh and Ty turned the big 27 on the 22nd! He says he feels OLD and that he is 27 with no kid.... :S. 27 is not THAT old. :)

A picture tells a thousand words...

This is what I am craving at the moment...MMM. I want to make some Oreo Pudding for April!
I want to travel again, go find exciting things like this! Oil Lamp, one of the frist WHOLE peices of pottery to be found on http://beitlehifoundation.org/ !!!
And I miss all these cute faces! Plus there is more now. :) I just wish I could play Aunt ALL day long! I love spending time with them and seeing them grow and learn! I love you all!

And LAST but not LEAST...... I want a new one of these.... Ours is dead for real now. It was old anyway. But it really doesn't even turn on anymore...no matter how many new batteries you put in it... Maybe Christmas?? We'll see!!

One Year Older & Wiser Too

SO they say that its one year older and wiser too? Someone lied, I don't feel it!

It's so weird to think I am 22 years old now! CRAZY. I feel like last week I was 16. Now I am 22. Not only am I 22, but as of August 7th, Ty and I have been married for TWO wonderful years! That's even Crazy to think of! So much has happened in the last 5 years of my life, its been amazing. So many 1st and so many life lessons. I wouldn't trade any of them for anything.
Not all have been what I may of wanted but it's the lords plan. So I am grateful that I have been able to use them as "stepping stones" rather than "stumbling blocks" as we teach our primary kids. :D I hope everyone else has had a great month so far as I have!

Thank you again Honey for the amazing weekend and for all the time you spend serving me!
I love you with all my heart!

Our Painting Adventure!

So we set out to repaint the apartment. Thankfully we have nice landlords who said they dint care what we did.... they might regret that one day. lol Just kidding I am not that crazy. But we had a lot of fun! It was done pretty fast, two coats and all in two days. We LOVE it. It's so fun and bright. :) We decided to write hidden messages in the walls.....
Ty Hard at work!

And the finished product is.....

I love love love the blue. :) It's the Martha Stewart line, called "Heavenly Blue" and our kitchen will be "Lemonade Ice". That will get done in the next few weeks. :)

Yay for weekends!

So lately I have been OBSESSED with my weekends. Why? I know not.
I have always loved the weekends. I use to start my weekend off by waking up early and then throw on some clothes, and go to the store with my Dad. We would buy either the fixing for French Toast or Corn Flakes. Then it was the usual cleaning and what not before we could actually go do anything. But for a while after moving out and then getting married life has changed alot to say the least. Weekends were so busy with things going on that I felt I didnt have time to breathe. I started missing the way it use to be, I use to be such a morning person, but lately I havent been so much. It was hard to wake up before 8am! So I have been working and working on it. And what do you know! I love waking up on Saturday morning, opening up the front door as the sun is coming up. First thing I do is open the blinds, crack a window and open the door. Sometimes I grab a glass of juice and go sit outside for a few min before getting started for the day. Each week I look forward to my weekends so I can do just that. I love being able to just sit and enjoy the moment of the sun waking up and being slightly cool but still warm and most of all being able to sit and enjoy the moment! Not have to hurry and jump in the shower or anything. So needless to say, one day something just clicked, I woke up happy and early and ...life feels good again. lol Just one of those simple treasures in life, that I love. :)

Life Decisions

Sometimes I wonder, why do I need to grow up??
I think we all have been here at one point in life. I have so much fun with just Ty and I, staying up late talking, goofing off, sleeping in. Making a frosty run at mid night... simple things. I just love it so much though, but it seems that EVERYONE is asking us "when are the kids coming??" Is it bad that I don't want my own yet? I feel like I still want to live life with just Ty and I. I realized that using "Ty is still in school" is a stupid excuse. But a good one. But its still just a cover up. The truth is, I just don't want my own yet. I LOVE kids. I love watching them grow up and discover life and the simple happiness they bring. But I don't want my own yet...... Is that normal? lol Sometimes I wonder if it is or not. Cause really I don't have a desire to have my own yet. I mean I do, but just so I don't have to work full time. But I don't know. I know its between Ty and I, and we ultimately make the decision. (which is nice, lol) If some people had it their way I would have 3 kids by now! haha. But I realized that the other day, and its been on my mind a lot. I feel kinda guilty for not wanting kids yet. I think I'm most bothered by the fact that it bothered me when I realized that was the truth behind all the "excuses".

On a happier note! Its been SO nice lately. I love the weather. As long as it's at least in the 60's I am ok with the rain. Saturday our immediate family all got together (the ones who live around here) and we celebrated my Dad's birthday it was a lot of fun. We met up at Riverton Park and had a BBQ and played. It was nice to go there because when its at someones house there is always something to be done it seems. Not everyone relaxes and just enjoys the company. It was nice to see all the kiddos playing together and having fun. They are all at the stage where they like to play together. It seemed for a while they would be around each other but didn't want to play together. So its fun to see! I am so excited for summer! Were going to go camping, swimming, biking and ahh the fun! :) My goal is to get fit and have fun, so I am looking forward to the nice weather because I have the most fun outside! We've biked a little already, and well it wasn't too fun the first time. haha It's been YEARS since I have really rode a bike. Sad I know, but it was painful! So when we get a little extra $ were going to upgrade out seats to nice wide gel seats.... I can already sense the comfort! lol Well hope everyone is doing good!!

People Watching/ Blog Stalking

So I have found something to entertain me during the down time at work...
I LOVE people watching. For some reason its interesting and just relaxing and well
you see some really interesting things by doing so AND you learn a lot about people.
So I check my blog daily and those who I have on my "list". The other day I noticed up
in the top middleish part of the screen it says "Next" and clicked on it. haha . Entertainment!
It just goes through different blogs are arent private and you can keep clicking it to view more.
I havent come across anything vulgar nor nudity and all. (I guess that just luck, cause I imagine there is lots of it!) But I have read alot about people all over the world! I have seen some cute ideas and a lot of useful information. I have come to enjoy it! lol Call me a nerd or weird. But
I think life is interesting. Even those who just blog about their family and what they did that week.
Its entertaining... and I enjoy it.

April Showers will bring....lots more than may flowers!

April Showers have brought a lot this year!

The weather has been teasing us this month! I dont remember it taking this long to warm up in the spring! We get 4 or so days of nice warm weather then snow and rain for a few days! It's off again and on again! Crazy mother nature!

We've had Jennie with us this past month. I took her to the airport yesterday, I was sure sad to see her go! She's so kind and fun to be around! She's just like part of the family now! It was funny as we were at the airport. We were weighing her luggage cause we knew it was over the 50 pounds. So we put in on the scale and it said 50.09 so we asked a lady that was near by if that would be ok and she suggested taking it down to 49.00 lbs because sometimes they are sticklers. So she was talking to us and Jennie didnt understand what exactly she said cause she was talking so fast and a minuet later the lady came back to us and said "if she doesnt speak english or talk very well you can get a security pass and go to the gate with her". Jennie's face was PRICELESS! We both held back our laughter and I just replied "I'll go as far as I can with you" LOL. When she walked away Jennie kept saying "cant speak english, I come from England!!!" we both were laughing pretty good! It was fun to have her but I think she's pretty excited to head back home to her family!

Ty has started another semester! His LAST one till he gets his associates! Yay! One step closer!
He has been lucky and gotten 37 hr work weeks last week and this week. It's SO nice that they give him hrs finally after MONTHS of 15 hr work weeks or just over that! It's nice cause he works 6am till noon or so. So then he has the afternoon to do his school work. I still dont understand how someone can be so dedicated! I certainly wouldnt have the *umph* he does to get it all done! But its a good thing he is! It has gotten in a long way!

We both are still in primary... nothing too new there. We are planning some camping trips that we are looking forward to greatly! Swimming...working out outside! SPEAKING of exercise....... I havent been dedicated enough lately. Gotten too busy and been really tired! But I am getting better at atleast walking to something. But I really really really want to get in shape. I just wish I didnt have to work till 6pm 5 days a week cause it is hard to get everything I need to done and dinner cooked PLUS work out all before I run out of energy. But I am making it public that I will put more effort into it and get back in routine! :)

I will post some pictures in the next week of our latest adventures! :)

April Showers Bring May Flowers...??

I sure hope they will!! April has been crazy thus far! With snow on April 1st and more snow on its way, I am starting to thing maybe spring/summer got skipped this year???

This year is FLYING by! It's crazy its April already! So far its been an ok month. :)
I played a great trick on Ty for April Fools Day...

I really wanted to get him good. So I had Jessica take some pregnancy tests for me. They showed up pretty well!!! (She is a few months along!) So I waited till we were getting ready for bed that night. Our friend Jennie from England is staying with us, so she headed to bed and we were watching the news. I leaned to Ty and said "Honey I have been feeling kinda weird lately, and I am really nervous that I might be prego, so I stopped and bought a prego test" Ty just kinda looked at me... (We've ALL had a "scare" so he was thinking it would just be that) so I told him I was going to take one before bed. So I got up a min later and went into the bathroom, I brushed my teeth and all, while he thinks I am in there peeing on the stick! lol So I open the door, and called for him to come in. I had it sitting on the floor, and I was being real quiet.... Ty took a min to come. (I KNEW HE WAS CONTEMPLATING WHAT IFFFFF?????) So he comes in and smiles and me and says "Your pregnant" and just kinda laughed. I chuckled and said "well look, you tell me" he looked down and glanced up and looked back down. lol I was dying inside! The look on his face was pure fear. lol So he picked it up, to make sure it was suppose to be a "positive" lol. So he was really quiet and just brushed his teeth, took out his contact and went and climbed into bed. I finally asked him what he was thinking about, and he started. lol "Well I guess I need to quit school and work full time somewhere, we'll need to start saving every penny".... and so on. So we talked about it for a few min. Then I couldnt take it anymore! I snuggled up close to him and told him I had something to tell him, and just quietly said "April Fools" and he gasped! Saying "but it said positive" and barley got out the words "Jessica, Jess peed on it!!" haha it was PRICELESS! I was laughing so hard and he was frantic. He started feeling around for his phone, and finally found it. He didnt have his contacts in, so he had it really close to his face and I noticed through my laughter. I tried to stop him from calling but he insisted he called Jess to make sure that it was an April Fools Joke! lol AT 11:30PM!!! It was hilarious. I love Ty. We have a lot of fun!

Our Easter was good! We enjoyed the weekend. Ty had to work Saturday morning, so I ran errands and all. The truck was having some issues, so $500 later, our truck has breaks, a new belts AND an oil change! lol Gotta love those things! We decorated boiled eggs with my family.
We learned a cool science project as well as what NOT to do. I didn't know that you were suppose to only add 1 TLBS of vinegar for 1/2 cup of water.... well I added about 3/4 cup of vinegar and food coloring! So it was doing some interesting things to those eggs! They were sizzling in the vinegar! haha. we eventually got it situated and were able to dye eggs for real!
We Celebrated Mom's birthday Sunday too! She's getting younger every day! :)

We loved spending time with family! I have grown to appreciate my relationships with my siblings/mother/grandparents and extended family. Even those who I thought I would never have a "friendship" with, I have developed them! I love my family! One my side we have 13 nieces and nephews! It's a lot of fun, and I love being and Aunt! They all are so fun, each one has such a unique personality!

I hope you all had a great Eater Weekend! I am so greateful for the holiday to reflect on what Christ did for us! We were with Jill and Josh Sunday morning and they were teaching Isacc about Easter and the true meaning, so he kept saying "Jesus Lives" . I am so greateful for that!

Grocery Smarts!

I think this website is worth looking at no matter who you are!
Most of you know I shop using coupons alot.... I was recently introduced to this system.
What I like is that even if you dont use coupons, this site is TOTALLY worth using!
They rate the sales going on in the area (STATE WIDE) and tell you if its a good deal or not!
ALSO you can print either the WHOLE list or just the items you need from that store.
There is also a spot you can type items you need that arent on on the sale list. I think its well
worth take a few min each week to look at before you go shopping. You can also find information on there, on how to organize your coupons so that you can easily find them without having to spend HOURS clipping them each week! The website is www.grocersmart.com you can look up by sate in the upper left hand corner. BUT I suggest using the "passport" which is middle of the page on the right. Enter in g84cag .

I love this system/website. I save alot of money on our groceries. We dont have a lot to spend in the first place so its very helpful! They can contact information on there for if you have any questions or whatnot. Take me word, its awesome!
I hope everyone had a wonderful weekend!!

HAPPY ST. PATRICKS DAY!

Hope your wearing GREEN!!! :)

Saturday was a good day! It wasnt exactly "nice weather" . SO I had no excuse NOT to start my spring fling! I got ALOT done! I have realized my obsession for organization... good AND bad!
I love to have things organized and clean. *Doenst ALWAYS happen RIGHT away. BUT....

I realized with my obsession or organizing things, I have acquired junk. I have little boxes & bags to use to organize items IN... and boxes and.....bins and.....just random stuff. I feel good cause I got rid of some of it! AND I went through "bins" and got rid of junk inside them! I am almost done with our second bedroom... that will look like a bedroom again!!! :) So then on to the Pantry, closets, cleaning closet/towel closet....kitchen & living room desk! :)

I love feeling organized and put together.

We have been hanging out with family alot lately. It's been fun. Our prayers are with Kenyon and Jeannette, they found out this past Monday that they lost their baby. But we know they will have a chance again to be parents! Soon they will have little rug rats running around and they wont know what to do! But we love them and are praying for them!

Easter is coming up!!
I LOVE Easter! Not for the candy baskets tho, for the times we have as a family. We have a big Egg Hunt at the Grandma's. My parents, parents live next door to each other and share an open pasture and front yards. So we hide candy & eggs around the front yard for the little kids and the pasture for the older kids. It's fun, I remember being the one out there looking and looking for all the eggs, and there is alot of places they could be! We also get together before that just with my siblings & their spouses/kids and dye eggs. It's a lot of fun!
I love love love it. :D

Were excited cause we get some time off coming up! April 9th-13th. Were going to head up to Idaho to visit Ty's family! Were going to spend time with them and go up to Yellow Stone! -I have never ever been there! SO I am excited.

We have a friend coming to stay with us from March 27th- April 27th. She's here visiting from England. She's a fun/sweet girl! Her family was in Kenyon's mission. Her Dad is a Bishop over there. We spend time with their family when I went to Visit England with my Mom, Sister & Kenyon. So she will be hanging out with us! I hope she doesnt think were boring married people. lol.

So who is loving the time change? .... I am in a way. I have more energy at night... I am AWAKE till like 11pm... but then the mornings arent so easy. lol I was getting use to being up at 6 and getting stuff done before work. But now I hardly can wake up at 7! So I am getting use to it slowly....

I hope everyone else is having a good week! Soaking up the Sun Rays!!

Not exactly as planned...

Well I certainly didn't get all that I wanted to done! Not even a start....
BUT... it was all good! I spent my weekend instead hanging out with my nephew
Ike, we played cars, went shopping and decorated his "snake cake" for our family
birthday party Sunday. I'll post some pictures soon. I will be working on the
"Spring, clean, fling" throughout the week and weekend. :) I hope everyone else is
enjoying the warm weather! I'm ok even if its raining, cause it means SPRING! :)

Spring is around the corner!

So its almost the weekend again! Yay!

I live for the weekends.... :)

I got this off my friend Jenn's blog.... and my house could use it!

The Spring Fling Challenge is to "fling" 100 things by the first day of Spring, March 21st. And by"fling" they mean that you will get rid of in any way - paperbackswap, ebay, craigslist, Salvation Army, trash, recyling - just something that gets it out of your apartment and out of your car. It has to be GONE not just out of the apartment and waiting to be taken away. Then as a Bonus Challenge, try not to replace the things that you've flung.

The idea is to clean out all the scary places where you cram the junk that life brings your way....

SO for me this is my goal this weekend! I am going to de-junk!!! I kinda already started this last week. I hate clutter, it eats at me and makes me unhappy. So my "kick" on this will include the following.... and I will report on Monday with my progress! (Help keep me acocuntable!)

Clean out the fridge! - we ALL have something old, or gross in there. GET RID OF IT! :)

Clean out the second bedroom.... THIS IS THE MAIN GOAL....
This will consit of: Going through all the bins, and re-organizing then with only the items we NEED. We have a lot of bins...and stuff "stored". Go through my "clothes bin" and get rid of old clothes that arent fitting right now. Go through our "wedding gifts" bins and choose a few things to "re-gift" to a few people who are getting married. Get rid of some of the clutter I've been hauling around state to state since I was little. I have a lot of random little things I've saved... and I dont need them....

So I will report on Monday! Hope you all have a great weekend!!

Feelin Lucky

March already! I cant believe how fast time is going by!
March means its almost spring! YAY!
Ty and I are getting all geared up for spring / Summer! I can't wait!
We've just been hanging out like normal. Not too much excitment.
Ty is almost done with this semester (In April) and then he will start his spring
semester that ends in July. Then he will be graduating with his Associates! :)
That will be a happy day! He's been working night shifts lots lately. So I'm
trying to get use to that. lol That shift is 10pm till 6 or 8am. I would not be able
to function as well as he does! I have found the perfect bike that I want. They
have a "boys" one that is dark blue and a "girls" one that is baby blue. Doesnt that
just match us?? :) In a month or so we'll get them. Yay! I use to spend HOURS a
day on my bike when I was younger. I rode that thing EVERY where. My office
is probably moving out to Riverton, and if that happens then I will ride it to work
every day! I really hope it does! Morning bike rides are the best.
I'm excited for St. Patricks Day! I got a green scarf to wear. :) I am totally lookin
forward to it! hehe.

Lately I have been working getting rid of the weight I've gained the last 3 years.
I was struggling and struggling to lose any weight, then one day it dawned on me.
I was focusing on the numbers too much. I havent ever been a size 2 jeans. I think
I just skipped right over those numbers. lol But I would like to be a size 6 again.
But I kept getting down cause the scale wasnt showing me the numbers I wanted to see.
Then I decided to try on a pair of jeans I wore back in 2007 when me dad passed away.
They hadnt fit very well at all for a while. But I pulled them out and wow, they fit!
So I put on my swim suit, and it didnt look AS scary. lol So I have changed my attitude
and focus. Now I am focusing on getting in shape. I am not so concerned about the
NuMbErS anymore. I am enjoying see my clothes fit better and feeling better about
the way I look in them! So I have been more progress, and I find it easier to make
time to work out, cause I am more motivated. The brian is a weird and bizzar concept.
haha.

Hope you are all doing well and enjoying life!

Ramdom Update!

Well life is going! Just been working and all. Ty's started the semester! He has a lot of school work! His FAVORITE class is English at the moment.... JK. We had a good weekend. It was nice to finally be able to sit at home and get stuff done! We cleaned the house then decided to go to Ikea and look around.... and we ended up getting a nice entertainment center for the $80 then a nice big dresser for 120! Both in which we needed. lol Our Dvds were piling up on the ground cause there wasnt anymore room for them, then all our clothes were shoved in the closets cause we didnt have a dresser! It feels SO nice to have things organized now! I LOVE being organized, call me a geek but its the nicest feeling to have it all done! We then went BACK for dinner, lol. We wanted to try their Swedish meatballs! YUMMY! I decided I'm a fan of Ikea!

My husband is da'Bomb! He put it all together and we moved furniture around and everything sat, night. Of coarse we had some help from Josh and Jess. lol They make the work fun.

Also JESS is PREGO! haha she is 5weeks along! Crazy!! She is begging me to join but I dont give into peer pressure... :) Other than that the only thing is I am sick of being called sweetie on the phone at work! People who call in for their act info or for help say "Thanks sweetie". Its annoying and certain guys I really dont like it from. lol Hope everyone is doing good!
